Best MCP servers (evidence-based)
TL;DR
MCPserver.in does not produce subjectively-ranked 'best' lists. We qualify servers by documented capabilities and source provenance. A server is presented as recommended for a category only when its exposed tools and read/write behavior are evidenced. No numeric scores or star ratings are used.
Selection criteria
A server qualifies for a recommendation when it satisfies the publication authority: a non-placeholder implementation, documented tool surface, identifiable maintainer, and verifiable source repository. Read/write behavior is called out explicitly because it determines risk.
Categories evaluated
The catalog groups servers by use case: developer workflows, databases, browser automation, research and search, and productivity. Each category page explains what users in that category need and links to qualified server entities.
